Default Ninja-way

i got bored. ;o

Ninjaway made by a very bored Moko.

**attributes, because im too lazy to edit gwshack*

Monk;
Divine Favor - 12+1+3 (yeah, i know you will disagree, but its really lovely
Protection prayers - 12+1

Elementalist;
Water Magic: 12+1+1 (or +1+3 - depends if you like using sups)
Energy Storage: 11+1
Deadly Arts: 6

Assassin;
Critical Strikes: 12+1 (or +3)
Dagger Mastery: 12+1+1 (or a sup here :P again, personal preference)
Deadly Arts: 5+1

Mesmer;
Domination Magic: 12+1+1
Fast Casting: 12+1
Deadly Arts: 3

let me say this in advance tho - i havnt come around to testing it. x_x

how it is "supposed" to work;

the mesmer shadow prison-blackouts the monk, while the elementalist spikes a target and the assassin spikes a different one. ele starts casting shatterstone a second before the spike starts - the assassin gets into range so he can do his combo quickly. the elementalist will need to call his target, letting the mesmer remove the enchantments if needed. (afterall, enchants will most likely make the spike fail)

i dont think i need to explain the monks job. x_x dont comment the bar please - im not going to change to ZB/Purge, also, its /A because its a fun-ninja-build afterall. of course this can be changed for effectiveness if you like to.

in case of an interrupter - the mesmer will blackout the ranger while both ele and assasin spike the monk.

dual monk - mesmer blackouts one, shames/diversions the other while assassin and ele try to spike both of them.

against spirit spammers, mesmer keeps the main threats down with unnatural signet - if there are no spirits, the mesmer can also help spiking with unnatural.

a blinder of any sort will unfortunately crash this assassin - against those you are forced to try to constantly knock their blinder down with Ox.

the ele will have to watch his energy if the game is going to take a few minutes - it is very energy heavy afterall, so a smart usage of GoLe wont hurt. also - you can help spiking the target the assassin is pressuring easily while waiting for blackout to recharge if you like to.

[skill]Guardian[/skill] can be switched out for [skill]Shielding Hands[/skill] or [skill]Shield of Absorption[/skill], or for those that fail at protecting decently, [skill]Gift of Health[/skill]

after a few tests, ive decided to change [skill]Burst of Aggression[/skill] for [skill]Flurry[/skill]

if you like to, you can change the whole assassin build to a plain Shadow Prison spiker for a better spike, but less KD (which is going to be help a lot against good teams).

i guess ive mentioned all..

opinions anyone?

PS; in case you meet some idiot monk in frenzied defense, dont hesitate to remove PS and watch him get slaughtered by the water spiker. thats what the garbage skill is for afterall.

Sometimes health bars just go down no matter how good your team is and how well the monk prots and it is up to the monk to make those bars go back up. Without ZB, signet of devotion alone is not enough "red bars go up". Given this, I think gift of health is really needed in place of guardian. Even with the buff, shielding hands still feels weak mainly because the effect itself is too weak. I have felt that guardian has been weak for a very long time due to its 1s cast (would be ok at 3/4s).

Can't say I agree with this type of change. I'd rather have death blossom or wild blow in this spot or some other utility skill (i.e. mending touch, disrupting dagger, dash, shadow walk, etc.).

Shadow prison + blackout is an interesting combination on the mesmer. This build seems to ride that concept pretty hard and success likely hinges upon blackout not getting interrupted frequently.

You need to add attributes to the characters or this thread will have to be closed due to incomplete build.

ive been playing without gift for a very long time now, with only devotion as heal and rather high DF to even it out. rof spam does work wonders as well, and a nicely placed spirit bond helps a lot, too.

however - i cant remember the last time i played without some sort of blinding, so Gift might indeed be the best option to go with.

personally, i really love Guardian, the cast time might be annoying but it can be incredibly awesome in such situations. - shielding hands is against the build i fear most when i ever get around to play this.

i was thinking about it, but decided against it eventually - mainly because the assassin simply needs the speed to spike properly and KD without too many problems. utility is always nice, but theres simply no space for it in this build. wild blow is the one i would favor most.

thats the main weakness. a good ranger will crush this build - but then, which ranger is not going to be tempted by dshotting diversion or shame? abusing the aftercast might be enough...depending on who is smarter, mes or ranger. :P

ty for the comments, your opinion is always appreciated. kinda hoped youd look in quick tbh. :>

*edit* ugh, forum keeps freezing on me. x_x

Why the hell do you waste Shadow Prison? Take Shadow Walk, or Death's Charge+Recall/Return?

And why the hell do you have to be so negative in all of your posts?

I was gonna say, did you test this yet? Sounds interesting but not sure if you'll have enough damage. Of course the idea of slowing your foes down is a plus. Let us know when you do test it.
